Youth Mobilization & Capacity Building
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to engage and mobilize youth in climate action initiatives.
- Coordinate and organize workshops, training sessions, and capacity-building programs for youth.
- Foster leadership skills among young participants through mentoring and development programs.
- Collaborate with schools, universities, and community organizations to promote youth involvement in environmental advocacy.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of youth programs, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement.
- Make and distribute educational materials and resources to support youth-led projects and initiatives.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among youth groups, ensuring a cohesive and united effort in climate advocacy.
- Identify and support opportunities for youth to participate in local, national, and international climate forums and events.
- Assist in fundraising and grant writing efforts to secure resources for youth programs.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on youth participation, program activities, and outcomes.
- Promote inclusivity and diversity in all youth mobilization efforts, ensuring equal opportunities for participation and leadership.
- Advocate for youth perspectives and voices in organizational decision-making processes.
Location & commitments
- Job Type: Full Time
- Position Type: Internship
- Time: Approximately 6-8 hours per day
- Wage: 8000-10000 BDT per month
- Location: Brighters Society of Bangladesh, Dhaka Office
- Additional Commitments: Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required during major projects or end-of-fiscal year activities.
