The first ever comic book in Bengali language focusing on climate change. It is an initiative of Brighters Society of Bangladesh and ActionAid Bangladesh to elevate climate education in Bengali language.
How will it elevate climate education?
Gohorotno is now at the youth hubs and at ‘climate cafe’ in 25 schools. Children and youth from these areas are reading it and learning about how climate change is impacting our lives. This will motivate them later to adapt climate actions.
Bangladesh, a highly disaster-prone country, ranks seventh on the 2021 World Climate Risk Index, yet contributes only 0.14% of global greenhouse gas emissions. To address climate challenges, ActionAid Bangladesh and Brighters Society host “Bangladesh Youth COP,” engaging youth from vulnerable regions for grassroots consultation and advocacy on climate justice.
Bangladesh Youth Climate Parliament 10,000 registered members will elect a "Youth MP" in each of the 300 constituencies of Bangladesh to work on climate change, sustainability, and the environment. Excited! thank you.
